Learn how to use soft pastels to capture a truly lifelike portrait of this stunning native wild animal, the otter. Starting with a demonstration to show the stages of a successful animal portrait, advice will be given on proportion and which pastel colours work best, using techniques and mark making that will help you capture the look and feel of fur.

Suitable for all abilities and those new to portraits. All the basic materials will be provided, but a list with a few useful additions you can also bring from home will be forwarded before the workshop.
10 am – 3.30 pm. Refreshments provided and with everyone bringing a packed lunch. Parking is on site. This is a non-residential workshop.
