Mixed media - Barns, buildings and churches...
There is no limit to the fun you can have once you start combining mediums. Starting with a theme of buildings in the landscape, we will collect together collage and textured papers, and then apply a variety of drawing, tracing and painting techniques to produce a lively and unexpected outcome. Reference material and examples will be provided to give you the inspiration you need.
Buildings are a paricularly good subject for mixed media, with a definite shape that will help you to simplify or complicate, depending how much texture you wish to add, though you may also complete any other scene you wish on the day. The technique is particularly suitable to those (who believe they have) limited natural drawing or painting ability, as our starting point will be on a "the simpler the better" approach, and though you may have planned or imagined your end result, your idea and outcome will be completely original.
Suitable for all abilities.
