Join resident FBA artist Hazel Money for a journey through the landscape using a wonderfully muted palette of shades particularly suited to Autumn. Learn how to mix colours from a limited range and use textures and glazing to add drama and interest to your paintings.
The workshop will start with a demonstration, then take you through a series of steps to break the subject down into different, managable areas, with help and advice as we go along. We will look at the illusion of distance, stormy cloud effects, and how to mix a variety of natural looking greens. For those who may have more painting experience, a second painting may be undertaken from a selection of suitable images, supplied on the day.
Suitable for all abilities.
Tutor: Hazel Money
Refreshments provided and with everyone bringing a packed lunch and an apron. This is a non-residential workshop.
A short materials list will be forwarded before the start of the workshop. Typically this will include a selection of acrylic paints, suitable brushes, and something suitable to paint onto, i.e. a canvas or board.
If you have no materials of your own, some will be available to borrow during the workshop, i.e. paints and brushes. Suitable canvases can be purchased on the day at cost.
