The Art Room, Wilkin Hill, Barlow, Dronfield, Derbyshire S18 7TE
Have you ever wondered what different kinds of painting mediums are used for? Did you ever purchase some but have not really known what to do with them?!
This is your chance to find out. In this fascinating workshop you will learn first-hand about the importance of using mediums with your colours. You will learn about the different types of medium, what mediums are, how to use them and when to use them. There will be a demonstration that makes an example of using acrylic medium in context of a painting, after which you will have the opportunity to create your own work.
You can either choose to work from a photograph or image you already have, or Paul will help you identify a good subject from a series of images he will bring with him. As the day progresses you will see the work of your fellow participants develop, and have time to discuss ideas and try different techniques.
Suitable for all abilities.
Refreshments are provided (tea, coffee, biscuits) and with everyone bringing a packed lunch. Parking is on site. This is a non-residential workshop.
A shortmaterials list will be forwarded before the workshop, with some materials available (matt medium) to borrow during the workshop.
