This relaxing workshop will take you on a tour of some of our beautiful market towns, looking at the jumble of archetectural styles from wonky half timbered shops to palatial town halls and crumbling gothic churches.  With some optional pre-made templates to help us with any tricky areas, artist Hazel Money will show you ways to use pen for picking out and inventing a myriad of textures, adding watercolours to produce lively sketches.

If you are at all hesitant with your drawing skills, this workshop will show you ways that will offer advantages to will help loosen up your style and improve the way you work, focussing on mark making, and flattening perspective rather than struggling with tricky angles.  Using images of street scenes and buildings of Britain's little market towns, we will each have produced at least two finished images before the day is over.

Pen and wash is the perfect method for drawing on location when you are out and about, so this workshop will help you next time you are on holiday with your sketchbook and need a helping hand!  The pen, used along with watercolours can bring out both the difference in tones and atmosphere while keeping the detail of line .  This class is suitable for all abilities.
