NEW!  Big cats in acrylics with Neil Rogers

Take a walk on the wild side with artist Neil Rogers, who will show us how to use our acrylic paints to describe the features of these charismatic animals.  Starting with a grid system to help us with proportions, we will go on to study individual features and progress to building up a realistic portrait of these majestic felines.

After an introductory demonstration into his techniques and approach, Neil will help us with our individual studies, offering help and tips to keep your painting fresh and for capturing intricate details.   For those attempting a very detailed portrait, it is likely that you may not complete your work by the end of the workshop, however Neil will offer guidance for progressing and finishing off once back at home

Suitable for all abilities.

Friday 8th November 10 am – 3.30 pm.  Refreshments provided and with everyone bringing a packed lunch.  Parking is on site.  This is a non-residential workshop.

Some materials will be available to borrow on the day, however the materials you will need to bring to this workshop are as follows:

A square canvas
Acrylic paints
A stay wet palette is recommended but not vital
Brushes, which should ideally include a dagger brush.  Neil uses a Rosemary and Co evergreen dagger but any dagger or sword brush will do.
Finally a watercolour pencil or charcoal for the initial drawing, and a ruler to grid up the canvas.

An apron will be helpful too if you like to keep tidy.

The workshop fee is £79 and is payable to confirm a place.  Please see How to PayTerms and Conditions apply.
