The Art Room, Wilkin Hill, Barlow, Dronfield, Derbyshire S18 7TE
Watercolours are a wonderfully expressive medium but we often need a push to help us exploit the best qualities available to us. In his second workshop with us this year, artist Paul Talbot-Greaves will demonstrate a series of techniques and show us how to capture light and atmosphere using your watercolour paints. Students can work on individual studies, encouraging you find ways to use colour and intensity to bring drama to our paintings.
You can either choose to work from a photograph or image you already have, or Paul will help you identify a good subject from a series of images he will bring with him. As the day progresses you will see the work of your fellow participants develop, and have time to discuss ideas and try different techniques.
Suitable for those who may have a little watercolour experience.
Friday 25th October 10 am – 3.30 pm. Refreshments provided and with everyone bringing a packed lunch. Parking is on site. This is a non-residential workshop.
A short materials list will be forwarded before the workshop.
