Landscapes in acrylics (or oils) with Richard Kitson

Join us for a colourful exploration of our paints in this inspiring workshop, aimed at all experience levels.  With step-by-step instructions and demonstration, Richard will guide you through the landscape, looking at colour mixing techniques, sucessful compositional elements and how to add texture, helping us achieve realistic and striking landscapes.  An inspiring and enjoyable workshop, suitable for all abilities.

In 2018 Kitson participated in Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year where he painted Paralympic athlete Kadeena Cox MBE at the Wallace Collection in London. 2018 also saw the opening of Kitson's first solo exhibition at the Cooper Gallery in Barnsley.  His enthusiastic teaching style will help you acheive your goals and set you in the right direction with your painting.

Tutor: Richard Kitson

Refreshments provided and with everyone bringing a packed lunch and an apron.  This is a non-residential workshop.

A short materials list will be forwarded before the start of the workshop.  Typically this will include a selection of acrylic/oil paints, suitable brushes, thinners (if using oils) and something suitable to paint onto, i.e. a canvas or board.

If you have no materials of your own, some will be available to borrow during the workshop, i.e. paints and brushes.  Suitable canvases can be purchased on the day at cost.

The workshop fee is £79 and is payable to confirm a place.  Please see How to PayTerms and Conditions apply.
